The Hibbing Raceway



The Hibbing Raceway located behind Hibbing Community College or the former St. Louis County Fairgrounds. . It is a 3/8mile oval shaped clay raceway. There are races every Saturday night starting at 6:30 pm. Racing season starts in the summer or sometime mid May through Labor Day. [1]


The location of the Hibbing Raceway is at 1799 23rd St. Hibbing, MN, where it has a Grandstand Capacity of 3500. It has been in operation for about 35 years, under I.R.R.A


The raceway holds an average car count on the track of 105 weekly. The raceway has events that occur. Three special events are the Labor Day Shootout, which is a time when the track is operated by Minnesota Ore Operations, and Minnesota Power, and presented by U.S. Steel.


The Governors Cup Enduros is when the raceway is operated the Iron Range Association. [2]


The Prices of the raceway may change during events but they are usually General admission is $11, children 12 and younger are free. Military ID included is $9. Pit passes $25.00. New* kids pit pass: $10.00. Ticket prices may change during special events such as the Enduros even, tickets for General Admissions are $8, kids younger than 12 or 12 are free, pit passes are still $25.00 and new kids are $10.00.
